I have drawn a lamp lens using the boundary surface, then mirrored the same lens in order to complete the single part. because this is a glass lamp lens, I would like to remove the parting lines between the mirrored bodies on a white glass lens. How do I do that?
I tried to use color, texture, etc but the lines can steel be seen. I was wondering if there is a cosmetic tool to remove the lines or other function that will make them invisible?
Used solidworks 2013. Used boundary surface to make the quadrant, then mirrored each quadrant.
Help would be much appreciated!
Attached is the part.

As Jesse said, change the influence to "normal to profile".
Before you make the change, go to the "View" drop menu and deselect "Parting Lines". Also, go to the "View" drop menu, select "Display", then select "Tangent Edges Removed". You will be able to see that the lines are not parting lines and not tangent edges. With Jesse's change, you should see no edge lines.
