Well,
I have installed SolidWorks 2014 SP1.0 on my laptop (Windows 7-64 bit) before, uninstalled it and reinstalled it again, when suddenly, it comes to an error message 'The Installation Manager failed to register gdtanalysis.net.dll C;\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\regasm.exe /silent /codebase "C:\Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks\gdtanalysis.net.dll" returrned to 0x64'.
I already look up at many issues according this, and I can't find a specific matter about this. And yes, I already turn off UAC and run the installation as administrator, and nothing works. Please can somebody help with it? I plan to reinstall my windows 7 if this error still occurs. So, I really appreciate if somebody can help me fix this
Best Regards,
Philip

Question: In the SolidWorks installation log files there is an error ‘ExecuteRegAsm ..gdtanalysis.net.dll."How is this fixed?
Answer: The gdtanalysis.net.dll component is the first dot net component to be registered in the installation of SolidWorks. This error implies a problem with the SolidWorks Pre-requisites:
1) Reapply the installations of the Microsoft® Visual C++ components. Using Windows® Explorer, browse to the source files for the SolidWorks installation:
For installs from downloaded file or a DVD look in the \prereqs folder
Find Visual C++ 2005 installs in the VCRedist folder
Find Visual C++ 2008 Installs in the VCRedist9 Folder
Find Visual C++ 2010 Installs in the VCRedist10 folder
Administrative images for the following folders can be found
Microsoft_C++_2005_Redistributable
Microsoft_C++_2005_Redistributable_(x64)
Microsoft_C++_2008_Redistributable
Microsoft_C++_2008_Redistributable_(x64)
Microsoft_C++_2010_Redistributable
Microsoft_C++_2010_Redistributable_(x64)
Run the vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe (Windows 64 bit operating systems). If the install is missing the program runs as an installer, if the install is present allow it to run in repair mode
Note these pre-requisites apply to SolidWorks 2013. New component installs may be added in future releases. Please see the SolidWorks installation and administration guide section 'preparing clients for installation from an administrative image'
