I am trying to create a section view in an assembly but I keep getting parts showing that are on the opposite side of the section plane?
Any ideas why this is happening?
Do you have some components in this box with the exclude option checked?
I do not get the box for selected components. Only for Section 1 & section 2
What is the version of SW you are using ?
I think there may have been a bug somewhere in SW where when you have thin parts compared to the heigth and width, SW does what you are seeing. Not positive.
Workaround may be to use extrude cuts to cut parts out entirely. Then have different assembly configurations for suppress/unsuppress the cuts to create your section views from.
I was thinking this as well but when I switch to a different configuration the view is fine. The configurations are very similar...one shows the doors being open, the other shows the doors being closed in those 'phantom' walls. All the parts and assemblies in the 2 configs are exactly the same, just the position of the doors are different.
Just a thought.
Is it a section view or is it a section view with extruded cut ?
If it is a section view with extruded cut then it´s easy to exclude bodies/parts with it.

It´s not in available in SW 2013.
Other then what Mark is saying.
My card and driver is supported although it is a little weak for the size of assemblies I am working on. I have a brand new Quadro K2200 sitting on my desk teasing me while I wait ever so patiently for IT to install for me !! (It has been there now for over a month!)
I am running windows 7 with Aero Theme on.
What about the card you are using now ? Are you running certified drivers with it ?
Yes, it is a certified card with certified drivers. It passes the SW Rx.
