Hello,
I need to import a 3D Studio Max file into SolidWorks. Apparently SolidWorks can do this if Scan-to-3d is activated. I have SW Office Profesional so this should be included andis installed. However, when I gotools->add-ins->checkbox Scan to 3d, and then click OK,nothing happens. The next time I go to Tools->Add Ins,Scan to 3d is unchecked as before. I can do this as manytimes as I'd like and I can never get Scan-to-3d to stay selected.Help + Thanks, Kevin
Are you Beta Testing SolidWorks 2008? If so I have run into an issue with ScanTo3D not running properly in SW2007 while SW2008 is installed.
Let me know if you are and I'll post the fix.
Best Regards,
I was having issues with other add-ons as well and called mycompany's software license people. It turns out that my company has7 SW seats (6 SW pro), but only 1 SW Premium seat. So, I couldalways use solidworks, but when someone else was using a premiumadd-in, I couldn't use any premium add ins. I wish SW would givesome sort of error message, instead of just unchecking my add-inselection.
All's good now. Thanks
