Hello All,
So I created a fairly large assembly, only to find later that the orientation of a LCD screen was wrong. The paticular sub assembly where the LCD was located had most of the mated assembly components on it. So instead of moving and re-assigning the components I took the other components and moved them to satisfy the orientation of components. So this created two problems. 1.) Was that my views are out of wack now. So I re-assigned my views so front was where front needed to be. 2.) The second problem was that now the datums in my assembly are off from what the should be. What should normally be the top plane is now the right plane. This is where my question comes in concerning the motion study. I wanted to create a simple camera path around the assembly in a circle, and I was going to do this on the right plane. Well when the camera goes around now the camera turns upside down because the right plane is vertical. When I try to put the camera path on the top plane and just rotate the camera it does not come in orientated like it should. Is there a way to fix this? Or is there a way to re-assign my datum planes? Maybe save it out as STEP file, then bring it back in to do this as to not mess up any of the mates. Thanks for help and input everyone.
