Why does Solidworks Electrical look so horrible? The schematic portion is the only down side of this program. It is also the only thing keeping us from moving this direction. The 3D portion is very powerful. However, The number one thing we care about is the schematic portion, it looks awful and has no style. On top of that it takes 3 to 4 more steps than autocad electrical. It really shows that the schematic portion was an after thought. It shows this was designed by mechanical guys that don't understand what a controls engineer wants to see.
First thing mechanical guys don't get: colors matter!!!! Colors mean something. Each type of tag should have a layer designated to it. Second you want to have two sets of rungs per page in case of a control relay so you can show where it's going. Attached is an example of what something like this might look like.
Trent,
You should move this to the Electrical forum where it has a better chance of being seen by someone who can help answer your questions.
