I got some .jt files from a vendor recently. Tried converting it in to .stp using some CAD converting software which wasn't successful. I do not have catia or nx installed in my pc either. What would be the best way to open in sw now?
You can ask the vendor to supply you step or other format generated from UG NX.
yeah, now that looks like the only option left. was just just curious if any other method existed.
Have not tried but check these:
Reading JT files
Okino's 'JT' CAD Assembly & Part File 3D Export Converter
CAD convertors from JT to STEP
Already tried two of them but for some reason none of the jt files I have are opening in them. I could open them in Transmagic R11 but unfortunately I do not see stp format in the save as option.
