If the flow of plastic is uneven then some sections of the part can be thinner than others, Can Solidworks Plastics predict these variations?
is your expectation to get something out of the software that shows what it looks like?
If the mold is desgined poorly the some areas of the part will fill better than others, leaving areas that are thinner than others. Can the software tell me which areas will be thinner. I am aware of the ability to predict short shots, is there a gradient to this ability, going from optimum fill/pack to less fill/pack to no material at all?
would sink marks and warpage and shrinkage be sufficient for your needs in addition to seeing what parts filled better than others?

The part could be consistent in thickness and warped and shrunk down (uniformly). I think sink marks may be my best bet to estimate to varying thickness along part surface. Do you know if solidworks can provide thickness of the sections with sink marks or will it just show visually where sink marks might occur?
here's what the output looks like. I believe that the measurement is volumetric shrinkage.
This looks like a good avenue. Thanks!
