I am new to SW, so I will ask some basic questions. Sorry.
I wish to establish the use of Lifecycles in Workgroup PDM. We use WPDM already, and have Revision levels set up, but have not used lifecycles.
I would like to set up a vault on my local machine and get the whole lifecycles and permissions thing working before I fiddle with the current vault.
The Installation help seems to imply that I can install a vault on my machine, but that I need to mess with the registry to get SW to look at it. Is that correct? Or do I just install a completely separate instance of SW and the vault on my machine that will run alongside the existing installation?
What do you recommend?
