Hi, I have intalled solidworks student edition on my computer but some keyboard shortcuts do not work. for example D is for Dimension but not working. any help?
I just checked on my system (SW2015) and "D" does not appear to be assigned to dimension by default. You could customize the keyboard command and add it easily.
For a list of your current shortcuts, with a prt dwg or assy open in SW RMB in toolbar space and select customize, then Keyboard, Category = All Commands, Show = Commands with Keyboard Shortcuts. You can print the list here also.
Also, you could export your customized settings from the previous version and then import them into the new one by using "Copy Settings Wizard"
Thank you all. and THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR CLARIFYING THIS.
I think my teacher used a setting file and gave it to us in my old machine. To be honest I am used to it and it saves time.
Now the new question emerges: Should I use the default setting? I am planning to apply for jobs ( maybe soon haha) and I am afraid if somewhere test me for my solidworks skill I become confused. On the other hand I can take CSWA on my own laptop and work faster.... any advice?
