Hi, I am trying to determine the pull-out force required for a morse taper junction, where the trunnion has been mated with the bore and then inserted by a controlled distance so that the walls interfere by a certain distance as shown in the picture. I then used the contact set to show that the walls act as a shrink fit but am trying to figure out how to calculate the force required to disassemble the taper. Any help on this would be very much appreciated.
Have you tried a non-penetrating contact set with friction between the two surfaces?
