hi i am using solidworks 2014 student edition and i need to use the toolbox but when i try to use it it says:"toolbox not installed". can anyone help me with this i have looked in the add-ins tab but it does not show up there
Reinstall/Repair SOLIDWORKS and make sure Toolbox is selected under programs to be installed.
i already tried it, it doesn't work and there was no option for toolbox to install
On the summary page, click on change and then in the list make sure that toolbox is selected.
There is NO OPTION to repair in version 2015 only uninstall. Why was it not installed in the first place?
2014 installed with no problem. 2015 has an issue with toolbox. the toolbox is there, SW does not recognize it. This seems like a very poor installation design. Default installation should work, I changed no default paths or anything when I installed 2015, but SW does not see the path to the toolbox database. "Update Browser Data Application" fails/crashes.
There is an issue with toolbox in 2015 with a Windows update KB3072630. You have to disable this update, repair your installation and than enable again. See the site of Solidworks. It helps you through the procedure.
Repair of installation did not work. The toolbox is still NOT installed, there is no option to install it. And, yes, I did reboot my computer.
What is your current path of Toolbox?
Are you running multiple version of SOLIDWORKS on your systems?
