We are working on exporting our BOM to another system to help with purchasing. (EPDM is not an option at this time.) When we create the BOM, we create an indented BOM with detailed numbering. It would be helpful to also have basically a row number in addition to the item number. I found that I can add a column that has an equation, but I have not figured out how to have the cell add one to the cell above it. (In excel for example, cell A2 would have the equation "=A1+1" and then this would fill down so that A3 had the equation "=A2+1") Is there another way to do this?

Or is there a way to get the BOM level without using indented detailed numbering? We are trying to get the same BOM output from two different CAD systems without having to manipulate it in Excel before we import it into the other system. The other CAD system gives us an item number and BOM level as separate columns.

Thanks,

Carrie
