I am trying to model a part with a feature that will be rotary milled in a mill-turn type of CNC machine. In this type of operation the part will turn on its axis and a cylindrical milling tool will move along a plane perpendicular to that axis. The axis of the tool will always be in an intersecting state with the part axis. I have attached an approximation of what I am attempting to accomplish (see Rotary Mill 1). The resulting surface should be established by the radial offset of the cutting tool and should be driven by the geometry on the inner diameter of the counterbore. See Rotary Mill 2 attached to get a sense of the inaccuracy of what I am doing. I have not been able to find a way in SolidWorks to accomplish this. I have attempted to sweep and wrap options as well as surface cutting options. It seems as though a swept solid could work but I have not been able to successfully accomplish this yet.
