I just installed SW 2015 and I saved a copy of my settings from 2014 just before the install. I restored settings in 2015 from the 2014 file, yet none of my shortcuts are set up in 2015. Any suggestions?
There seems to be something strange going on.If you look at the line that says, "The registry file you selected was saved in" and then it's blank. There's also a second radio button with no label under "Apply settings from this file to:"
Mason, I'm experiencing the same issue. I've tried both of the radio buttons you're pointing out. I've also tried restore inside and outside of SolidWorks, to no avail. This is going from 2014sp4.0 to 2015sp3.0. I was just about to call our VAR but thought I check here first. Did you ever find a solution or answer why it's not working?
Sorry, Richard, but I did not! I had to restore all settings and keyboard shortcuts manually.
No worries Mason. Another thread mentioned doing the same. We're still in the evaluation stage so I'll just make sure to recommend that users print their assigned Keyboard and Mouse Gestures using the "Print List" option prior to upgrade. Still, it would be nice if the available tools would just simply work like they were intended for.
*** For those unaware of this Print List option - within the Customize windows Keyboard and Mouse Gestures tabs there is a Print List button. Set their "Show" filters to your assigned commands before printing the list.
