As part of the eDrawing publishing process, you can opt to allow (or disable) the measure feature when the file is eventually opened with the viewer.
If you're using file save-as from within SW, click on the "Options..." button and then click on "Okay to measure this eDrawings file".
If you're using the eDrawing publisher icon, then when you save the the file you can click on the "Enable measure" check box.

Thanks Gerald,
Another question. What is the best way to control colour when using the viewer. Every time I save an assembly the colour scheme is different. For example sometimes every part in the assembly is the same colour and other times different.
Thanks Paul
