Just wondering if within flow simulation, the downforce generated by an aerofoil, in ground effect, can be calculated using 2D simulation rather than 3D?
i have my airfoil modelled, then a ground plate that i am setting as a boundary condition, a moving wall.
I am using surface goals to calculate the downforce generated by the aerofoil.
you're using a surface goal to calculate the lift and drag
your cell has a finite thickness (albeit small)
that is lift/drag per length n'est pas?
