Splines and circles keep moving when clicked in SW2015. What setting do I need to change?
Just a thought, but it may be Automatic Relations is now turned on, but was off previously.
Check this setting on the pull down menu: Tools>Sketch Settings>Automatic Relations
Turn it off and see if it restores your expectations.
Can you be more specific, maybe attach a video of your problem.
thanks for a reply, I will try and make a video..
Whenever I click a spline it splits it into two separate splines and for circles it adjust the size when I try to select them. It's like an auto setting is on or something.
Are the sketch elements fully defined (i.e. are they all black)?
No they are not, still blue. In older versions of SW's I could click on a blue sketche element and they would not move unless I held the mouse button and moved..
I have attached two videos to show what is happening.
Looked at your second video.
The lower spline is defined somehow with coincident relation to the circle and the upper spline has coincident and tangent relation to the circle. The circle do not have any more relations.
In your case it can also move because of the relations it has with the splines.
In your first video, it is really hard to see what´s happening. But my guess is lack of relations in the sketch.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for taking the time to explain. Do you happen to know why this behavior does not behave like this in older versions of solidworks?
In a situation like this, as long as I can remember.
Thanks, changed the settings and it acts normal now. Do you know how to disable the message? Also, something else to note is that it only does this when sketching in an assembly.
Is there a "do not show this again" checkbox on the dialog?
No, that was the first thing I looked for.. See below for a photo of the box. Funny thing is that I'm not trying to drag the line..
I was able to return everything back to normal function by adjusting the sketching settings via tools -> sketching settings -> No solve move selected.
Thanks everyone for the help, hope this helps someone down road.
