Hello everyone.
i just want to know why a part imported from (pro e ) doesn't imported correctly in solidworks.
I really have large amount of pro-e parts files which i want to import in solidworks
and how about drawing them..
i have a pulley in pro e
which i imported as a step file in solidworks
the pulley has 25mm diameter(eg)
but when i create drawing of it in solidworks , it comes as 1234.345 mm
That means you've made mistake in pro/e itself. If still you had pro/e part > Open the part > Goto "File" > "Properties" > Under "Units" group > Click "Change" > There'll be two option available change it and then > File > Save as > Set ".STEP" format then open into solidworks and see.
Thanks and Regards

We have several clients that use Pro-E and send us files. We always ask for STEP files from them. They seem to give the best translation. We have had very little success using Pro-E files directly.
