Edrawings 2015 is targeting the tablet UI. Complete pain in my… neck. It’s just a viewer people. C’mon Dassault Systemes. Stay with me here. Keep in line with operating systems that are really being used here by your demographic.
A suggestion would be to modify your problem statement to be more specific. This will likely lead to more users being willing to spend time helping to solve specific problems.
Specifically... The whole application just doesn't act right. Menus that appear and disappear are for tablets and mobile apps that can't afford the real estate, not desktops. File associations don't work right. Screen sizing does't work right. Drag and drop only works with native extensions.
Again it's just a viewer people. With a handful of tools everybody uses, has used and will always use. Yes I miss the tool bar up there. Nothing magic going on here. Back to 12.3
What specifically is giving you trouble? There are some pretty helpful people around here, who may be able to solve your problems.
I agree, it's not there... it needs more work! It's also SLOW.
I HATE the desktop version!... specifically, when opening a "edrw" or "slddrw" and not having the "Rotate" option on the main menus (top/btm) ribbons available during or cycling through views.
We are FORCED to open a drop down menu using the RMB to get access the "view/rotate"!?!?! LAME!
PUT ROTATE ON THE TOP or BOTTOM window ribbon!
And,.. what typically happens, the view or model disappears when trying to rotate!??!? LAME!
Also, the "Animate" pop-up for "prev/play/next"... that is LAME! ALWAYS HAVE IT DISPLAYED.. put it ALL on the bottom!
Thanks for the specific feedback, I believe the missing "Rotate" issue for drawing files was brought up in another thread and you should see a fix for this soon.
As for the Animate tab, do you expect it to stay open persistently whenever you open it? or are you saying you prefer seeing those controls always exposed? Note that this tab also serves as a place to view all your motion studies and other animations that you might have saved to the file, so you can access them all in one organized place.
Yes, it should be visible! You have PLENTY of realestate, utilize it!
This is a Client tool for me.. .if the Clients do NOT know how to use this, it's useless to me/us!
