I have been taking classes at Richland College for my "Precision Machinist Certificate" but I am also going through an intensive inspection phase (two birds, one stone) - I thought this might interest others in the area:

Metrology (16 Hrs) QCTC 1091 Sat 8:00 am - 5:00 pm 03/21/2015 - 03/28/2015     $160

This training course covers fundamentals with a focus on linear measurement, as well as discussing the history of metrology and its importance in the manufacturing world. Topics include rudimentary techniques for using different measuring tools. Students will spend time using these instruments to perform basic product layouts as well as using a simple drawing that is dimensioned and tolerance to select the appropriate inspection equipment and perform a layout.
