When clicking File > Find References, some directory pathways are in caps, and others are in lower case. What do the lower case vs upper case paths indicate?
The only thing I can make out would be that folder name were given in upper case (for the path you're seeing upper case) and lower case for the others
Apart from this there should not be any issues I can see for being a path in upper/lower case.
Thank you for your response, but I don't think that's it. All parts in the assembly are in the same folder/directory, but when looking at Find References, some rows show the directory path in the actual upper/lower case you'd see in Windows Explorer (i.e. Directory Path 1\Directory Path 2) while other lines show the directory path in all lower case (i.e. directory path 1\directory path 2). Any other ideas?
I'm not sure of any other reason, could be a windows thing. Can you check if other applications are showing the same behavior.
I just found a similar issue raised for EPDM : SPR #: 826548
Thank you, Deepak. How do I look up the SPR # you've referenced above? Does it give a reason for this behavior?
Go to SOLIDWORKS Knowledge Base and search for this number. You need to be on active subscription for using the SOLIDWORKS Knowledge Base.
I have also noticed this behaviour with some of my file paths. It has never affected any references as yet so hasn't become an issue for me. I do a lot of work on a mobile workstation, as well as a desk top so just put it down to that being the case.
Thanks, All. The knowledge base didn't have any solutions, nor much of a description on what causes the issue. So I guess I'll just live with it. Thanks again for the comments!
