I am trying to wrap a sketch around a cylinder but it keeps on giving me error about intersecting and open contour, but i am sure that I have closed all the contours already.
The error message is incomplete.
The Wrap function only works for one contour at a time. You have several within that sketch.
Looks like the same lack of attention to detail as in this thread
How can I make an exact wrap around a cylinder?
dimension your sketches.
Pattern Features rather than sketch entities when possible.
Where are your dimensions?
How did you get perfect geometry without dimensions?
Where are your geometry Relations?
Are you using SolidWorks as your sketcher - or are you using some other CAD program?
I looked around for a bit - but never found the problem with the sketch (it Extrudes OK).
I would simplify this and dimensions.
Edit: I see that Kelvin found the error.
I am using solidworks. I had dimensions and relations but i deleted them trying to so if that will work but it didn't. I checked all the contours are closed and not intersecting each other...
Thanks Kelvin, it worked but seems like if i make the cylinder that i am trying to wrap too small it will refuse to wrap for some reason.

Re: How can I make an exact wrap around a cylinder?
Is the width of the sketch still shorter than the circumference of the cylinder?
Tie it all together with parameters.
Retrieving data ...
