We have 2 lisence Solidworks Standard and setup to 2 PC, but IT department reinstall windows for that PC.
So now we lost 2 software. Please help me "how to reinstall solidworks"
If your question concerns installing SW, you should be able to install from whatever media (DVD, Downloaded files, etc) that the original install used. If the question concerns SW licensing, before reinstalling Windows, you should have released the license before so it could be reactivated/transferred on the new system. If that was not done, contact the VAR from which you purchased SW and it should be a quick operation for them to reset everything.
Dear Mr.Jeff Holliday
My question concerns SW licensing. I want to reinstalling SW to 2 New PC (upgrade). Can I using "license certificate" to active SW?
I'm sorry about my english skill, Please help me!
I'm not sure what "license certificate" you are referring to.
The activation is handled thru the "Activate Licenses" or "Transfer Licenses" area shown in the attached picture. If you did not transfer the license prior to reinstalling Windows, you may need to have your SolidWorks VAR help you do it. If you had previously transferred the license, you should be able to activate it after installing SW.
What is VAR Mr.Jeff? is that supplier?
how to contact VAR?
VAR stands for "Value Added Reseller". That is the company from whom people buy SolidWorks software.
I try to contact to VAR but this supplier does not exist. I can not contact to VAR.
what can t do? Please!
Your VAR's name & contact information will be listed at the Customer Portal.
Either try contacting another VAR or SOLIDWORKS direct.
The licence is tied to the HDD or SSD, so if they have not been changed you should be able to simply reinstall from whatever media you have.

In that case, as Jeff stated, you will have to contact your VAR to deactivate the licences from the old machines before you can activate to the new ones.
