I am preparing for the CSWA test, and after 15 years of solidworks use, I feel confident in my skills, however I get tripped up by the oral questions. Is there a study guide that might help me with this?
The oral questions are only 5 pts each, so even if you miss them all and get the model right you can pass.
Wow, good to know, Thanks Tony. Takes a lot of pressure off.
These are good books: SDC Publications: Better Textbooks. Lower Prices.
Hi I'm also preparing to take the exam in the next 2 weeks.
What version of SW is the exam based on?
If I only have SW2012, can I still sit for the exam?
Hi Edwin, you should be fine, the prep course is based on 2010, and all the questions, modeling, and assemblies are basic. I just got my cswa 2 weeks ago, and it was pretty straight forward. There is a practice exam I suggest you take this will offer you a close look at what the test is like, http://www.solidworks.com/sw/docs/EDU_CSWA_Sample_Exam_2013_ENG.pdf . Good Luck! and if you have any more questions I'd be happy to help.
Thanks for the vote of confidence. I tried the sample exam. I took 20min to draw the sketch for Q3. Yeah got the answer right but I took too long I think.
That might be cutting it a little close on time, but remember you have 3hrs to complete the exam. Good Luck!
Thanks for the tips.
Hey That's great, congrats! Max, is right, the cswp isn't free, but if you have a subscription some of the tutorials are available.
It is also legit to use the SolidWorks Web Help, during the test.
This month, the prep courses on mysolidworks are free.

Is there CSWP for free as well?
Negative! That particular exam is a payed cert. Fun fact: if you have a current subscription to solidworks there are exam codes you can use to get free cert tests.
