Is there a way to get the path length from a 3D sketch into a design table? The path length dimension tool works great for 2D sketches but is not available in 3D sketches?
The only way i can do it is to use fit spline to make it one spline, then RMB and simplify curve, you can then dimension it.
you can use equation tab and then identify a letter . and then measure all 3d sketch and sum them
I've just created a Macro to do that, you could modify it to suit your case.
Sweep Length Calculator
Let me know if it works,
Your Macros works fine, thanks for sharing the result of your effort.
Not only works but works with 3D sketch also.
You know Even SW2018 has no path length feature for 3D sketch so it is big help.
I made a cable route with more then 10 segment and it did fine within a second.
Thanks for your comment. It isn't any effort, it's a pleasure for me.
I've come across that requirement several times, and didn't find a macro.
you've got that feature in SolidWorks Electrical, but not everyone can't afford it, and works only with cables...
My macro is open to anything routed with Sweeps, even more than 1 sweep.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
