Hi:
I want to model a ordinary wood burning stove (for house heating) in which all modes of heat transfer as conduction, convection and radiation exist. I have simplified the amount of heat release from the wood logs a constant value (based on the properties of wood) and modelled it as a simple cube within the stove enclosure. I want to know what would be the best approach (either internal or external) to simulate the stove considering that all modes of heat transfer should be taken into account within the stove enclosure and also the radiation and convection from the stove outer surface to the ambient. I have attached a simplified model of the stove.
Any recommendation/comments is highly appreciated

flow or sim pro thermal?
i'm assuming flow since you're asking about internal or external
the answer is, internal if you can characterize the heat transfer on the outside and don't care about the air around it. otherwise external
