Sketch Performance Very Slow

I have done an import from .dxf drawing with 300 lines and curves. I have deleted all relations and measurments but if I try to delete, move, streatch, copy, edit, or any thing normal when editing a skech the sytem freezzes. Is there some thing I am missing on display performance. I have tried it on several systems with same outcome. I am only using 13% ram and 4% cpu.

Duel Quad Core (8 core) intel Xeon 2.4ghz

32GB ram

2 x 5770 1gb Graphics

SSD and 6 drive raid

Windows 7, 8 and 10.

SolidWorks 2014 Student Edition (have tried the full retail premium version on a parter companies system)

I ran in all OS versions on the machine as a test if just an OS issue but it is not. I have zero slow down at full render on large assemblies and even small complex ones but as soon as I import a sketch or draw one with over 300 lines the system crawls like I am using a P4 computer. The active ram usage is only at 6.8 gb at its peak.

I have also tried different GPU's. Inteel Iris 6000, Nvidia GeForce, AMD, XFX and Nvidia Quatro. Same issue. Sloooooooooooooowwwwwwww.

Is this a bug or bad software design?
