Hi there,

I want to make a profile cut out on a camshaft surface. I know a curved profile on a cylinder surface is possible to make with a 3D sketch on the cylinder and a sketch perpendicular on the surface.  Then make a swept cut. Because of the constant center axis the sketch is always perpendicular to the centre axis.

Now I want to do the same on a camshaft, but then the profile get a twist. You can see the picture in the appendix. I hope my problem is clear. Can anyone help me with a solution?
