Hi,
I create a shell to shell bonded contact where there is a gap between the edge of one shell and face of the other shell (since the mid-surface is selected to be at the 50% of the thickness).
Solidwork gives a warning that the results might not be accurate; why?
If the bonded contact create the contraints the nodal displacements must be the same, why the results should not be accurate?
thanks
because there is a rigid beam between the faces instead of the nodes being tied directly together
i believe there is an article about this in the help and also the solidworks kb
