You cannot complete the Automatic Relations segment to complete the section. Has anyone else seen this? I am trying to complete the sections and get the free CSWA code to come through so I can show my User Group Members how to do it as well.
We are aware of this problem and the team is working on resolving it.
I was also trying to access the free CSWA cert. can can't seem to find any evidence of the offer on the website anymore.
On a side note that may be related, I completed all the CSWP training courses on the Learning Path feature. If I am looking at the Path, it says 50 of 50 complete but when I am looking at the menu of all Paths, it says that I have completed 50 of 51... Strange.
I am looking to take the CSWA as a practice test before taking the CSWP.
Thanks for any insight into this issue that can be provided.
I got my Automatic Relations one to complete by clearing all my cookies in my browser and then trying it again. I have completed a 44 but have not received a code?
I got a hold of my VAR for this as well. I guess once you complete all the sections you have to wait until the end of the time they are doing the promotion. He said this:
"The free CSWA exam credit will be sent out when the offer period ends at the end of March. The promotion is open for everyone and anyone is entitled to a free CSWA if they complete the mysolidworks prep course."
So I guess April they are sending all the codes out.
That is good information... maybe they should have said that at the beginning!
Kyle, David, et al,
The CSWA prep course is very popular and we decided to send out the CSWA exam codes weekly instead. Everyone who completed the course at this point in time should receive the exam code this week.
Also, for those of you who want to prep for CSWE and CSWP, please note that you can obtain access to MySolidWorks Professional at no cost for 12 months until October this year. Just contact your reseller. Once you get the MySolidWorks Professional serial number simply register it with your SOLIDWORKS online account to unlock the additional SOLIDWORKS certification prep courses.
Will there be some kind of email/notification so others know what is going on? I have shared this information with the two User Groups I work with.
Hello my name is Jesus Barboza, recently i have finished the cswa exam prep course (the past week) in my.solidworks.com, i completed the 44 lessons and i still did not receive the code via email to take the cswa exam for free.
I want to receive the code to take the exam.
¿may you help me?
voucher codes will automatically be emailed to everyone who completed the course after the end of March. You just need to be patient and wait another week.
I'm using Solidworks at my university through their license and have gone through the CSWA prep. Is it possible to get free access to teh CSWP prep through the university license as well or is that restricted to standard licenses as opposed to academic licenses? If it's possible to get free access, is this something someone at the university should be able to help with? I don't know how I would contact the retailer.
The cswa prep class is unrelated and not linked to any SolidWorks license. Heck, you don't even have to have access to a seat of SolidWorks to go through the prep videos. Obviously, you would need a seat to take the test.
Now, let's say you have taken the course and want that free voucher. Well, you are only entitled to one voucher and one time through the course - per registration.
So, if you want to take the course again and get a second (or third) voucher, just register for a new account using a different email address.
Interesting. When I look at the other 'learning paths' the CSWP prep course indicates that it requires an upgrade, which combined with Andreas' comment about talking to a reseller about getting 12 months free access to my solidworks professional to make me think you need to somehow have your account linked to a professional license or something like that to get access to all the other stuff that is currently inaccessible.
The CSWP is an "additional" course and requires a serial number from the reseller. If you are a student, you need your professor to contact the school's reseller and see if they can get a serial number from the reseller to distribute to students. Depending on how many seats the school purchases and what their contract is (whether they are on subscription, etc.), then the reseller will provide that information.
Since I am faculty at my school teaching SolidWorks, I just sent an email to my school's reseller to see about shaking loose a serial number for my students.
As a student, you can't contact the reseller directly. You have no standing. You aren't the direct customer.
