Things to check ;
- Configurations - do they match the BOM
- Rebuild your model - ctrl "Q" is a hard rebuild - and should take care of it right now - you make any changes in the assembly, you will still need to update.
- Design tables within the assembly
My guess is the rebuild should do it
Thanks for the quick response. I did try the hard rebuild several times - didn't work. Also, there aren't any design tables in this assembly.
As far as the configurations go, how would that affect the item numbers? I can see how that would affect which parts show up, but I don't understand how a configuration would lock the order so to speak.
I can't explain a real reason for the configurations having anything to do with the BOM - except a circular rebuild
Oh no I don't think there's anything like that in this case...other ideas?
Ah I think I just figured it out. I created a duplicate BOM and then deleted the first one. For some reason it retained all the item numbers from the original BOM and wouldn't change them even though I had re-linked the pages to the second BOM. I killed both the BOMs and created a new one and the problem is solved in that one...can't really explain the logic behind it, but apparently that worked. Fortunately the BOM wasn't that massive so the re-arranging won't be too much of a headache.
Thanks for the input!
