Edrawing assembly export not showing some colors

    Joel Rapoport

      hello all,

when i export an assembly as edrawing, some of the parts show their color, but some do not and show as white.

all the parts have some color defined in their appearence window (i dont define the colors from the assembly, but rather from each original part)

i thought that edrawing format was supposed to support all the sw colors of parts.

      here are the solidworks original:

      and the edrawing result:

BTW, in my assembly there are also a few sub assemblies. not sure if its connected to the problem or not.

I know this is an old post BUT still revelant.

Using "Save as" to an eDrawing from within SW 2017

I get this as a result in the eDrawing when I open it, the .easm, in the eDrawing app:

Opening the (.sldasm) in the eDrawing app I get this:

and saving it out to an eDrawing, .easm, and reopening .easm in the eDrawing app I get this:

I have seen this in "color/image" area in newer part files.

an extra "eye dropper" for color.  Older part files only had one "eye dropper"

setting this second "eye dropper" to a color

and exporting from within SW to an eDrawing

The resultant eDrawing WILL have that part the Color of the second "eye dropper"

          WHY this change?

WHY can I not get a color eDrawing directly from within SW with a "save as" eDrawing?

With out having to set this secondary "eye dropper color"?

Open a SW assy in eDrawing and save as from within eDrawing to an eDrawing?

          My Export EASM settings are:
