I have an STL file of an iPhone 5 case that I downloaded from thingiverse so I could edit and personalize it. The only problem is that it is an STL file, not a native part file. So I have been using import diagnostics and healing the faces/gaps before trying to use Feature Recognition to make it a real part file. But every time I try to use automatic feature recognition, SolidWorks stops responding while on "Recognizing Drafts" and my computer runs out of memory and crashes SolidWorks completely. There shouldn't be any drafts on the part, but I get an failure message if I try to recognize features without the box for drafts checked. And the part is made of hundreds of tiny triangles, so using Interactive Feature Recognition is not a realistic option. Anybody have suggestions for what to do?
