File Properties at Assemblies

Hello, for my company, we do a series of multi-component assemblies. When we design them, we start with component 1, then build component 2, and so on.... While the components are being designed, we fill out custom templates in the file properties to auto-populate custom template drawings. So, each component has its' own drawing with its' own file properties (things such as heat treat, materials, quantity, etc.) After all the components are created, we have to create an assembly with its own file name. We have a custom file properties for the assembly template as well that needs to be filled out, but, I was wondering if there were a way that the file properties at the assembly level could be auto-populated by the already existing files properties of the components. This could save us a lot of time and potential mistakes when working on larger assemblies with 5 or more components.

Thank you.
