Has anyone converted 3D PDF file to SolidWorks part or assemblies? I have 143 files I want to get into my SolidWorks. Has anyone found a method to do this?
If you have Adobe Professional, you can save your pdf as a dxf.
You can then insert the dxf into a sketch and go from there.
That said, I have found it easier and faster to just CAD from the drawings.
This is because the dxf files require so much clean-up, it gets really tedious.
I have taken PDF 2D and built parts files from that. That is very time consuming. I am looking to go from 3D PDF to 3D parts. This job needs to been done quickly. Even I can convert them into Step or parasolids
Thanks for your quick reply
You can save a 3D pdf part as an stl and then go from there.
