SolidWorks takes ages to export a layflat dxf more than 2 minutes which is ridiculously slow. The part is a simple multi body part only 9 bodies with no lofting just simple bends is anyone experiencing this problem and if so is there some solution?
I have the same issue with Solidworks taking a very long time (15+ minutes in some cases) to export a dxf flat pattern. I am working with a model with many sheetmetal bodies made of lofted bends. Wait time still seems terrible.
We can't be the only 2 people on the planet struggling with this. I was hoping someone, say maybe someone from SolidWorks, would have offered a solution be now but maybe I am being a little too optimistic.
Hi John we must be the only 2 people on the planet using SW for sheet metal. I logged a case with SW about 4 days ago, I sent them one of our electrical cabinets and haven't heard from them since.
I have the exact same issue with my solidworks sheet metal also. Its infuriating and time consuming. Did you guys ever figure out a solution?
I have considered making a drawing with 1:1 scale and putting all the flat patterns on that sheet and saving it as a dxf..
