I want to show the rotation point where the model will rotate about a point relative to another model. Think of a ball in the socket of a shoulder. I want to show where the bone attached to the ball will rotate. Best I can think up.
I can not show the pivot point like the one showed above. Center of mass symbol. It will not show in my assembly. Center of mass is grayed out in my assembly.
So this option is greyed out in your assembly (sldasm) file? Obvious question, but sure you haven't put one in the assembly already, is it in the feature manager tree?
You have to insert/create one in your sldasm file first, then used insert model items in your drawing file, check the center of mass option under reference geometry, and it should come in.
Your assembly file is of solid parts, not surfaces, right?
I think you can use SolidWorks Motion to do this.
Apply actuator to the moving part and perform Motion study, after that, you can show the trace path.
