equation driven curve on a user defined coordinate system

Question asked by Corey Dickman on Feb 4, 2015

I've just learned how to create an equation driven curve.  The next logical step for me is to create the curve anywhere on a given part or add it to an existing design.  I thought that creating a new UCS might let me define a new origin but Solidworks always seems to revert back to the original coordinate system when creating an equation driven curve.  I've found a relatively easy way to deal with this by creating the geometry at the default origin and the translating / roatating....but you would think that by defining a new UCS, Solidworks would allow you to use that new I missing something?
