In Solidworks Flow, if you have two separate heat source areas, and apply one heat source load, does Flow divide the heat load in half to distribute it equally to both heat source areas?
Lets say I am applying a volumetric heat source of 120W to 12 individual components (all of the same volume), is this equivalent to setting up 12 individual heat sources at 10W.
If I have a symmetrical computational domain, do I need to half the volumetric heat source or does it take this into account automatically?
As said, it is volumetric. For example, if 5W are applied to three 1cm^3 volumes and one on a 2cm^3 volume, the first three volumes will receive 1W each and the last one 2W.
If symmetry is used, wattage must be halved as wattage is not volume based. Heat flux is volumetric and thus is not affected. Similarly, force must be halved but pressure does not.
