i typically model parts in the orientation which they will be used in assembly. in this case, i have essentially a rectangular volume 2" wide (X) x 10" tall (Y) x 4" deep (Z).

in default isometric view it is narrow, deep, and tall.

however, for a particular drawing i'd like to lie this assembly down flat and use that view. the perfect view would be an "alternate isometric view" --- for instance, if i had mated these planes differently, i could have something that is wide, deep, and short (or: 4" wide, 2" tall, and 10" deep).

i'm just trying to reorient the part in the view on a perfect isometric view that is not the default isometric view.

and i can't figure it out!
