How do you predefine the material in a new part? So when you open a new part the material is always set to the specified material.

Open a new Part Document and change the material - then do a save as .prtdot in your temp folder, then when you select the New Part Doc the material will be there. You can save your temp files with different materials then you just need to select the right one when you do a new doc

Open a new Part, set the desired material, and save as drawing template (.prtdot), either over-riding your existing template or as a new name.
