Export Bom if assembly has "Derived Parts"

Question asked by Darren Smith on Jan 27, 2015

Can anybody help?

I have a simple assembly (For test only) that consists of two identical parts "203-1595.sldprt". When I run the macro (Attached) I get the following output:-

File = TestAssembly.SLDASM

203-1595-1

203-1595-2

However.......

The part "203-1595.sldprt" are "Derived" Parts made from "104-1195.sldprt".

Simply put, I created a blank plate ("104-1195.sldprt") and then created a new part ("203-1595.sldprt" ), inserted the blank plate ("104-1195.sldprt") and added several holes.

How can I get the macro to output the "Derived Parts" as well ?

The "New" output should be something like....

File = TestAssembly.SLDASM

203-1595-1

203-1595-2

104-1195-1

104-1195-2

Many thanks in advance!!!!

Darren
