this would be a good case if you are designing the actual fan
using a tunnel and internal analysis would be a good idea
you would measure mass flow rate using a surface parameter at the inlet or outlet
and vary the flow rate using a parametric sweep or building the studies manually
Thanks for your reply. I am now trying to set up the study now with a simple square section tube and the fan placed within it, plugging both ends.
When trying to run the simulation I keep getting the error:
"There is no fluid volume in the project. Please check geometry or boundary conditions."
I've seen on the forum that other answers have suggested this is due to poor geometry of imported surfaces etc but I don't think that is the case in this scenario.
Have I gone wrong in the setup of my simulation? I've set up a rotating region, internal study - everything else in the wizard is more or less standard.
Scratch that - got it sorted.
Needed to run environment pressures on each end of the section and then set goals.
