Any word on when edrawings 2015 will be available for the Mac? There is a reference link for 2015, but it just downloads the 2014 version. Tried getting an answer from our VAR and they don't seem to have any idea.
We are working on this (reference SPR 837245). I don't have an exact date for you but we are hoping to release this soon.
Just following up to say that eDrawings 2015 for Mac was released a couple of weeks ago so. You can get it here.
The link provided points to a page that says a subscription service is required but I don't own any CAD-type software so therefore I can't get it there.
And also, on the eDrawingsViewer.com page, when you take the path Downloads > For OS X, you're presented a chart indicating 2015. Okay, but when you click the download link, what you get is version 2009 with a creation date of June 2007, yet the name of the dmg file says 2015.
I pointed this out to support maybe a year ago ... yes, the chart was there long before the app was ready ... and it still has what is (apparently) an old version.
On this link (Free CAD Tools Downloads) click on Free Cad Tools and you should see the edrawings for Mac. Have you tried downloading this file?
When the page appears it's asking me to log in, even if I have another browser window open with me already logged in. Then if I log in from that page anyway, the browser does not go back to the download list but instead goes back to the self-service portal page ... the one I identified at first where a subscription is required and the "downloads and updates" link is locked. So in other words, I cannot use that link.
But I might have 2015 anyway. The previous version information still stands but I just now did an About, and it shows 14.6.0.0023 and then 2015 SE below it. I think someone is not keeping up with the several version strings before it is compiled.
The download works fine for me even not logged in. Did you clicked on free cad tools tab?
Here is what I see:
and then, after I log in:
That is correct behavior.
You don't need to login but simple click on the Free Cad Tools tab (check the complete picture in my post above)
Wow, I feel (sort of) like an idiot. With that log-in bar just below the downloads, I thought I had to log in to move forward to a download!!! Thanks!
No problems. The link default opens with SOLIDWORKS tab selected.
