Click these three locations and post back if you have more trouble.
Please include screen captures to illustrate your problem if it still doesn't work.
Few quick questions/suggestions:
- Make sure you've installed toolbox
- You've the right folder path set under Tools > Options > Hole Wizard/Toolbox
- You've the option "Make this folder the default search location for Toolbox components " selected under Tools > Options > Hole Wizard/Toolbox
Sorry for the late reply as I hadn't seen yours...I am taking a distance learning course from an accredited college, sometimes info can take awhile via email.
The Toolbox is not part of the 14-15 student edition. As was confirmed from a jr engineer at my job. Either way there are ways around using the toolbox specifically. Either way the help is much appreciated.
I suggest you find another source of information.
I am a teacher.
I am running student license at home.
My students are running student licenses at home.
If this is the case, then my install is broken. I've repaired it and reinstalled it multiple times to no avail. The toolbox source files are on the drive, but not accessible within the application.
An entire weekend was spent playing with it and it was tiresome. When needed I have either edited the sketches of existing hardware or found files online. I haven't had any grading troubles with class assignments so far and that's my only concern.
Ok just to clarify with some pics...
Toolbox not in add-ins:
I can get to the configuration within the options but can't get past the hole wizard options, nothing further is able to be clicked and there are no buttons in the hold wizard menu:
Lack of "office products" tab:
Also "not installed":
Solidworks 14-15 Student Edition has been reinstalled multiple times, cat5 connected and not over the air. This is a new Asus laptop.. i5/8gb ram/1tb and windows 8.1. SW is fine other than this issue, no issues with the system. My assignments are able to be done for the most part.
This "issue" has been confirmed to me from a few, as I've mentioned, that the toolbox is simply not in the student edition. However from some online, as you guys have mentioned, that it is indeed in. And from other searches, it goes both ways. There are and have been other students with this issue.
