Is there a simpler method for this? I want to draw a line that isn't on a single XY YZ or ZX plane. So far I've been using construction lines, one on each plan, to create a point where I want my line to end. I then draw my line. Result.... too many constructions lines. Is there an easier or alternative way?

you could use three dimensions instead of the three construction lines.
Like Jeremy said, one way is to use dimensions. I think you'd have to dimension to planes, such as the Front, Top, and Right.
Another method is to draw the line ending anywhere, then select the endpoint and you can enter the coordinates for it. This will move the endpoint to where you want it but you are left with an unconstrained line, so you'd probably end up adding dimensions anyway.
when dimensioning in a 3D sketch, between selecting geometry and placing the dim, you can use tab to cycle through the different possible orientations of the dim.

I've figured it out myself. I draw a 3D sketch with construction geometry. I then draw my solid line using the points created in the construction geometry. I then hide the construction geometry sketch. Easy and done.
