I make a lot of quick visuals to give an impression of my work, so I usually just save as jpg/png/psd.
However when I check the remove background box the whole picture is emptyinstead of just the background.
Please save as TIFF or PND instead to have no background instead of JPG.
I tried all formats but all give the same result
It's working fine for me. Can you try with a white background and then change that in Adobe Photoshop
still the same, in photoshop it's just an emtpy layer
I mean uncheck the option "remove background" and use white background which can be easily removed in Photoshop.
ah yeah that's possible, but I would like my shadow to be present and place it inside picture.
Found this as an issue reported under SPR #: 653194 and SPR #: 721222 (this says it was fixed in SW2014 B1). So what version you're using.
Please report to your VAR (the company from where you've purchased SW)
Are you using a camera or perspective? It may help to Select Print Capture not Screen Capture within the JPEG/PNG options window.
This works for me with Screen Capture selected, but if I select Print Capture to get a higher quality image, the PNG is 100% transparent - no model. I'm using 2015 SP5.0. If I do not remove the background, then I can go in with Photoshop and remove the white background using tolerance 0, but if the model itself has any parts that are true white, then they are removed as well, or I need to manually clean up the image.
I think you have to edit the scene and in the menu backround menu to choose: None
Where is a video with the steps to make it work.
My method is different, this is for a rendering, not for an image directly from the solidworks screen.
I have the same problem with version 2017, SP3.0. Has anyone found a solution in the meantime?
