I am trying to add a jog point on the leader connecting my detail view to the circular profile on the parent view. Is this possible? The leader is highlighted in blue in the below photo.
Thanks in advance.
I don't generally use the connecting line for Detail Views, so I don't know the answer to that, and I'm at home now and don't have SW here to check. I assume you've right-clicked on the leader to see if "Jog" or "add Jog point" will show up in the drop-down?
I don't see a jog option. This is a weird workaround, but you can do a detail view with the No Leader style, then make sure the "Full Outline" option is checked, and then draw the connecting lines manually. The detail letter will appear by the original circle, but you can uncheck "document font" and set it to 0 height (SW will round up to .00000039 or something) so that letter essentially disappears. Of course the drawback to this method is that if you change/move the detail circle or move the detail view then you need to manually fix the connecting lines.
Thanks guys. The previous CAD software we used we had to do a similar manual insert of the connecting lines. So at least our drafters will be use to this method.
