Attached is a screw auger with an additional helix over part of it (yellow line). Is there a way to see the actual length of the helix, rather than just a left to right length?
Right, the arc length is the total length. If you want to verify this you could make a helix with diameter 1 and super tiny pitch and 1 revolution and verify that the arc length is pi.
If you select the helix and open the measure tool then it will tell you the arc length. If you are asking for a way to define a helix by the total length then I don't think you can do that.
I think that's what I want... The "arc length".. Which is the actual physical linear length of the helix if it were to be stretched out straight, correct?
Click measure tool and select helix length of helix will be visible
